Dr. Mark J. Holterman, MD-PhD – Physician-Scientist, Humanitarian, Technology Development After his BA from Yale University,

Dr. Holterman matriculated at the University of Virginia under a full scholarship in the NIH’s Medical Scientist Training program. As a board certified Adult and Pediatric General surgeon, he enjoyed a busy career as a clinician and research scientist.

Dr. Holterman retired from his academic surgery career in 2018 to devote his efforts to finding solutions to life’s problems. He heads the non-profit Mariam Group to discover, develop, deploy and distribute life improving innovations to people of the world. The three pillars of interest are healthcare, habitat and education. The for-profit economic engine for these philanthropic efforts is Mariam Tek, Inc.

Dr. Holterman and his team at Mariam Tak serve as the talent scout (technology discovery and evaluation), business coach (asset development) and agent (shared profits upon maturation).
